I hope we don't try and have a rerun as it can look like sour grapes.

I predicted the London result months ago. We don't have the infrastructure in London that labour do. Labour did better in London in the general so it doesn't surprise me.

Also our campaign was shit. We won the general on a message of economic security, tax cuts and protecting the NHS.

Instead we start moaning about the Muslims. It was like a campaign run by ukip. Italso shows that despite being very annoying that shapps knew how to campaign while Friedman doesn't.

Hopefully the idiots will relearn the lesson it took 15 years to learn last time that appealing to angry shouty people won't win you elections.

London Mayorals could be re run because of what happened in Barnet. If there is an ofcicial complaint which I think there has been already tben those are the rules. Barnet is a big Tory / Jewish area so I expect the Tories will object strongly.

Voted Zac for London. Nearly voted for the Canabis party or the Animal welfare lot on the other ballot papers but thought it would be a wasted vote so voted UKIP on all other papers.

CISTA were standing in the Assembly Election over here too. Their local candidate was a dribbling moron who couldn't answer the most basic of questions.

I still voted him higher than the usual Green and Orange wankers.

The Cannabis safer the Alcohol Party is neck and neck with George Galloway - love it. Galloway is a cunt.

Khan currently 11% ahead in the count.

Re: Are you voting on Thursday?
Exactly.
You didn't get behind Blair so why should people who don't agree with Corbyn get behind him.
Everyone wants other people to swallow THEIR principles but won't reciprocate

Re: Are you voting on Thursday?
We weren't Labour supporters or members then. They've lost 2 elections so I don't think they have much to crow about now

Re: Are you voting on Thursday?
Where were all these Corbynites when Blair was leader?
I think the Blairites are entitled to either leave or fight for the direction that they want from within.
Exactly as the Corbynites did

I say that as someone who regards Blair & Corbyn as different shades of CUNT. Devious & deluded.

alphaharps 12:33 Fri May 6
Re: Are you voting on Thursday?
Apart from Scotland, which they should let go now , Labour have done ok.
Time for the Blairites and others to get behind Corbyn. He ain't going anywhere

Re: Are you voting on Thursday?
It looks like citizen Khan will be the Mayor of London. We should not worry too much about this because Boris spent the last four years proving that it is not really a job. If the pollsters have the result correct I hope that Khan does the decent thing and resigns his Parliamentary seat forthwith.

As for Goldsmith he came across as a decent man adrift in the shabby political ocean. Each time I saw him interviewed or talking to the man in the street he seemed to be embarrassed to be associated with the people running a nude nudge wink wink slightly racist campaign on his party's behalf. What now for him? Has he hoist himself on his own petard by implying that he will resign if the Davis report announces the third Heathrow runway?

Let's wait and see because there idiom is made already but the announcement is being held back until after the referendum.........for party political reasons.

Re: Are you voting on Thursday?
Before yesterday I thought Labour would:
- Do disastrously in Scotland
- Go backwards in Wales
- Do disastrously in England
- Narrowly win in London

In the end, three of those were correct, in England we've done relatively badly rather than disastrously.

All the new members who back Corbyn are idiots.

And we lost because we're shit, not because of the media.

Having said this, the campaign against Khan in London was a disgrace and some of the muppets on WHO still buying it and going on about it on here. Khan voted for gay marriage, has been slaughtered in the Muslim community for being very pro Israeli etc. The idea he's an extremist or whatever is such utter bollocks but if you want to continue to live in that fantasy world that he's a nutter then feel free.

London had better hope he is not a wolf in sheep's clothes.
I wonder if a tory who had appeared alongside the bnp would have got elected as mayor or even got as far as selected?

claretandbluedagger 11:48 Fri May 6
Re: Are you voting on Thursday?
Been a pretty poor campaign for the Tories in London. Zac definitely isn't another Boris, and questioning Khan's appearances with extremists appears to have only created sympathy from certain parts of the population. Not to mention he's pro-Brexit which would turn a lot of potential voters away. If Labour couldn't win with all that going on then it'd be complete game over.

Amazed the Tories couldn't come up with a better candidate than Goldsmith.

Labour will always do well in large parts of London, as basically 30% of the people are either ethnics or immigrants.

claretandbluedagger, and London?

Re: Are you voting on Thursday?

Yet because of the support of his activists that dominate the party and elect the leader he cant be removed.

Your reaction to that obviously depends on whether you think a Labour government (of any form) in the future is a good or bad thing.
At the moment both sides of politics are working to make that impossible.
